This book is designed primarily to meet the needs of English speakers who need a point of reference for Egyptian Arabic verbs and the grammar needed to use them. The first book in the series (Pocket Egyptian Arabic) is designed to enable people to start speaking Egyptian Arabic quickly, and without the need to understand the grammar. This second book in the series gives more explanation of the grammar and pronunciation to give a better understanding of the language. It is built on a simple grammar system for teaching the Arabic verbs. It is my aim to help guide you quickly and effectively through communicating in Egyptian Arabic so you are able to hold basic conversations and make requests when speaking with Egyptian nationals. It is built around my personally developed system which enables you to understand the various parts of speech in a sentence in the different tenses. Once you’ve understood this it can be applied to any sentence you want to form quickly and easily.
